One store selling both a printed textbook and its e-book, priced by country.
Thieme publishes medical and scientific books. They came to us to design a template for their e-commerce store, and the catalogue turned out to be the difficult part rather than the design.

The problem
A medical publisher sells the same title in two entirely different forms. A physical book ships, has stock and costs freight. An e-book delivers instantly, has no stock and costs nothing to send. On top of that, academic and professional publishing is priced by territory: the same title legitimately carries a different price depending on where the customer is. Off-the-shelf carts model one product type and one price.
What we built
We implemented paGO Commerce as the store and customised it to sell e-books and physical books side by side, each with its own fulfilment path. Then we built a custom pricing metric on top, so a title can carry a price that depends on the customer’s location rather than a single global figure.
What it did
One storefront handling both formats and territory pricing, for specialist buyers who arrive knowing exactly which edition they need.
