A configurator that builds a cable nobody has ordered before.
Koaxis sold RF cable assemblies by having staff work one to one with every customer to understand, design and quote the exact cable they needed. That is a bottleneck with a salary attached to it.

The problem
Every quote went through a person. A customer described what they needed, an employee translated it into a specification, and the gap between what was asked for and what was wanted had to be closed by conversation. It did not scale, and it put a ceiling on how much the company could sell online.
What we built
We built a configurator on their Joomla site that is equally technical requirement and interactive drawing: the cable assembles on screen as the customer chooses each option. It handles standard assemblies and ones that have never been requested before, then adds the result to the cart. Adding to cart triggers something less obvious: the configuration becomes a new indexable page, so every unusual thing a customer builds grows the search footprint of the site.
What it did
Online ordering rose 200% in the first year on the new system. The client has increased their investment in the platform and their marketing every year since, and doubles their return on it.
