A county website rebuilt, then kept from breaking.
Butler County needed their website rebuilt. What they needed after that mattered more: monthly maintenance and secure hosting, so an extension update does not take a public service offline.
The problem
County websites carry things residents need on a deadline: forms, notices, department contacts, meeting schedules. They also run on extensions that update on somebody else’s timetable, and an extension that breaks after an update takes a service with it. A county rarely has someone in-house whose job is watching for that.
What we built
We rebuilt the site in Joomla, then took on the part that keeps it working: monthly maintenance, extension updates checked before they are applied, and secure hosting we run ourselves. The development relationship continues on an a la carte basis, so when a department needs new pages built, that is a request rather than a project.
