corePHP was founded in 2001 by Steven Pignataro with the purpose of creating custom Content Management Systems. Over the years, Steven co-founded Joomla! — an open-source platform that powers 2.5 million websites and won Best Free CMS for four consecutive years.

What started as a one-man operation in Battle Creek, Michigan has grown into a full-service technology company with a team spanning multiple countries, serving clients from non-profits to Fortune 500 companies.

Back in 2001, Steven was already a veteran of the Information Superhighway, having mastered the <blink> tag in 1997.
